Don Michele, mighty mafiosi in the past, has retired from his business and settled in a small mountain village in South Tirol. Soon he gets involved in power game with some of respectable locals. And it appears that villagers know all mafiosi methods, such as murders, corruption and blackmail, not worse than native Sicilians. But there is also friendship and love in their lives. And many of them feel pity when Don Michele is killed. But none of them (or very few) know that he's taken to the woods to make himself safe.
