With his bad heart, Secret Service agent Paul Flemming should really be retiring. But when his colleague David shows him pictures of a young woman in Arab dress who might be Paul’s missing daughter Tina, Paul sets out to find her – on his own. In an obscure Arab emirate, he actually does find Tina, who has joined a Berber clan. Tina, who has always been suspicious of her father’s work, reluctantly tells him that she is secretly gathering material on a nearby factory that she believes is producing toxic arms with German aid. Mysterious illnesses among the locals support her findings. When Aiman, a street child who has befriended Paul, also falls seriously ill after sneaking into the factory and photographing the equipment, Paul calls his friend David for help. David, however, has been observing him the entire time and now whisks Tina off to Germany, leaving Paul alone with the gravely ill Aiman. Now suspicious of David, Paul soon realizes that he is being used by the Secret Service for reasons that he does not yet understand. Braving the barbaric torture he is subjected to by the Berber clan’s leader, and surviving an airborne murder attempt, Paul makes it back to Germany with Aiman. He is determined to save the boy’s life and, with Tina’s help, prove his country’s involvement in the toxic-arms factory. And he must also find out who in the Secret Service is so desperate to prevent him from bringing this to light…
