A young married couple is growing apart: he is a social butterfly who enjoys the company of creative types, she is a pragmatic consumerist obsessed with money.
It is only a matter of time before the wife, Vera, meets a wealthy middle aged businessman who falls for her and is happy to fulfill her material dreams. He confronts Dimitry and cynically lectures him about the power of money.
Vera’s and Dimitry’s divorce seems inevitable but Dimitry does not give in and is up to the fight to win his wife back.
