Mario Miglio, a male nurse at the General Hospital, divides his days between an alienating job and a dull and unexciting family life. He unexpectedly wins a luxury car in a lottery but unfortunately the terrorists steal the car and use it for an action. Mario is arrested and sent in jail. He saves himself with a pretended confession, while his wife becomes rich selling a false memorial.
